Trump’s Approval Rating Rises Again, Approaches Inauguration Numbers

President Donald Trump’s approval numbers are rising fast, and it’s not just a small bump in what’s another sign that the tide is turning as more Americans wake up to what’s really going on.
In April, a joint national poll from InsiderAdvantage and Trafalgar Group showed President Trump holding a narrow 2-point lead in approval versus disapproval among likely voters. Out of 1,200 respondents, 46% approved of Trump’s performance, 44% disapproved, and 10% were undecided.
But that was then.

By the end of May and into early June, Trafalgar’s latest poll showed a major shift. This time, 54% of likely voters said they either approved or strongly approved of Trump’s job as president. Only 46% disapproved or strongly disapproved. That’s an 8-point swing—and it came despite the survey slightly oversampling Democrat voters compared to Republicans.
In other words, even some Democrats are starting to get on board.
Over at Rasmussen, their presidential approval tracker told a similar story. On June 2, Trump’s approval sat at 53%, just 3 points below where he stood during inauguration week. For context, that week marked some of the highest net approval ratings of his political career, even better than the peak numbers from his first term.

Political commentator and MRCTV host Justine Brooke Murray told Blaze News that these numbers reflect a shift in the public mood.
“President Trump’s approval rating rising suggests growing public support for his policy agenda,” Murray said.
She pointed to one major factor behind the trend: the public’s rejection of left-wing media narratives.
“As more Americans reject the blatant bias of taxpayer-subsidized media, which is essentially compelled speech, efforts to rein in spending and enforce accountability may be resonating more broadly,” Murray explained.

It’s a clear signal that Americans are fed up with being lied to. They’re tired of watching media elites twist the truth to protect the failed policies of the past and smear the man working to fix them.
Murray also pointed to another reason Trump’s numbers are climbing—he’s putting Americans first again.
“Americans are relieved they’re no longer being treated as second-class citizens by their government, which had previously sacrificed our citizens to our nation’s own enemies,” she said, referencing Trump’s mass deportations of gang members and terrorists.
That kind of leadership is exactly what voters have been demanding—and now they’re rewarding it.

And the momentum isn’t just limited to approval numbers. Earlier in the year, YouGov found that Trump’s 2025 inauguration speech was a hit with the American people. A full 62% of respondents said the speech was either “outstanding” or “above average.” Compare that to just 49% who said the same back in 2017.
The strength of Trump’s leadership is also getting more recognition this time around. YouGov’s January polling revealed that 43% of Americans saw Trump as a “very strong leader” in 2025. In 2017, that number was just 32%.
That’s a more than 10-point increase. It means that not only is Trump winning over more supporters, he’s winning them over more deeply.
A new poll from CNN shows the Democratic Party lagging far behind the Republicans when it comes to economic issues, which stunned CNN data guru Harry Enten.
“The party that is closest to your economic views. In November of 2023, it was the Republicans by 11 points. Now it’s still within that range, still within that margin of error, plus an eight-point advantage for the Republican Party,” the data analyst said.

“How is that possible, Democrats? How is that possible after all the recession fears, after the stock markets been doing all of this, after all the tariffs that Americans are against, and Republicans still hold an eight-point lead on the economy. Are you kidding me?” he said.
