A 20-year-old cat was rescued, given a permanent, loving home, and given a desperately needed bath. He is so delighted that he cannot stop purring.
This is the heartwarming tale of the cat Oswald!
Oswald entered the shelter at the age of 20, which is equivalent to nearly 100 years in human years.
“He was surrendered to a shelter without a name or much hope,” Kitty Adventure Rescue League’s Karyn Poplin explained to Love Meow.
Karyn removed the cat from the shelter and brought him to her cat sanctuary, which would serve as his new home.
Despite the cat’s age, health, and difficulty walking, nothing appears to prevent him from “exploring and interfering in typical cat fashion.”
This man is a champion. Karyn continued, “He let me bathe him and ate all the food I put down for him; all he wanted was chin scratches.”
“He has the grumpiest face of any old man, but he loves people. He too is a talker!
This man is a champion. “He allowed me to bathe him and ate everything I put down for him; all he wanted were chin scratches,” Karyn said.
After his bath, the affable ginger cat cuddled up to his forever human and purred with all his might.
“It is difficult for him to walk, but he perseveres. It doesn’t stop him from getting underfoot just like kittens do!” Karyn instructed Meow to Love.
He is now eating like a champion and thoroughly enjoying his new life.
“He has the grumpiest face of any old man, but he loves people. He too is a talker!
Since moving into his new home, Oswald has not stopped purring. “He desires for you to know that he loves you,” Karyn told Love Meow.
